What is business coaching?

Business coaching is a new profession. Coaches help business owners and professionals set goals and then attain those goals for themselves and their businesses. Coaches provide the tools, support, and structure to achieve optimum results.

Why a coach?

In the past, you’ve had mentors, athletic coaches, and even bosses who have helped you reach your goals. They held you to your agenda and held you accountable. They reminded you of your real goals. They let you think out loud, and were open-minded without judgment. Today, you’re a little older and a little further up the food chain – and now more than ever, you need an unbiased confidant. Your coach is that unbiased partner who’s always looking out for your agenda.

Does hiring a coach mean I have a weakness?

No more so than Tiger Woods or Annika Sorenstam. Having a coach means becoming better and continually seeking improvement. And in a business environment, constant improvement is vital for survival, let alone success!

How does coaching differ from consulting?

Consulting brings expertise to you. Coaching brings expertise out of you. And with the insights and options you’ll gain from this process, you’ll make your best decisions.

What kind of tools does a RPI Coach use?

The tools we use fall into two categories: coaching and business.

Coaching Acumen: Coaches are trained to listen on a different level, to hear beyond the words. This listening process, along with powerful questions and exercises assigned by your coach, allows you to generate inspired results. All RPI coaches are trained by the Coaches Training Institute and members of the International Coach Federation.

Business Acumen: Our extensive business training, as well as our experience managing and staffing successful businesses, have brought us the tools to help you reach your goals. Working with you, RPI takes proven strategies and tailors them to your needs.

How long do most clients receive coaching?

On the average, clients work with a business coach for six to nine months.

RPI asks our clients to commit to three months of coaching because we want enough time to take targeted action and accomplish measurable results. However, you can leave the coaching arrangement at any time, and payments for coaching sessions you did not receive will be refunded.

How does the free session work?

Contact us to schedule your coaching session. There is no financial obligation. You’ll call us at the scheduled time, and during your 50-minute session, we’ll work on the business topic of your choice.
